Desde muy pequeño creció fascinado viendo los documentales de Félix Rodríguez y Jacques Cousteau y soñó con emular sus pasos. Manu nos cuenta que fué muy prematuro cómo fotógrafo y cómo buceador. Con 17 años (ahora tiene 48) ya era buceador y pronto tuvo su primera cámara submarina. Desde que recuerda su vida está totalmente enfocada a lo que hace y lleva muchos años en el mar con una cámara y muchas inmersiones. La consecuencia ha sido una vida consagrada al mar. A su estudio, conservación y observación.
